My work is a mix of photography and acrylic paint and sometimes a newspaper scrap.
I use this to layer the image and create a new image.
My favorite subject is the beauty of a young woman’s face.
Covering the youth with a layer of paint in these photo portraits has a deeper symbolic meaning. It represents the process of becoming older and less and less visible. Due to youthfulness |partly| I try to emphasize the complexity and layers of human existence, identity and the passage of time
In my photo studio I use minimal resources to create a foundation for the photo painting.
I hardly use photoshop at all. I find it particularly moving and beautiful that it shows the vulnerability of these young women.
